As for who I am personally, well, I am a true Georgia girl, having lived my entire life in Georgia. I grew up in Augusta, Georgia, where I graduated high school from the highly praised Davidson Fine Arts School. While I was at Davidson, I participated in the youth symphony as a classical violinist and participated in the theatre program as a stagehand and assistant director.
After high school, I headed to Macon, Georgia where I attended Wesleyan College. In 1998, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English. I still actively participate in the Wesleyan Atlanta Alumnae Club and occasionally host several new student and alumnae events at my home in Marietta, Georgia.
Not had my fill of Macon, I stayed 3 more years and attended law school at Mercer University School of Law. I graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 2002, and headed to Atlanta to make my way in this world.
For several years I practiced law in the area of criminal defense and represented people who were charged with a crime. Many of my cases included charges of DUI, possession of marijuana, and other misdemeanor and traffic offenses. At this time, my practice continues to accept some criminal cases.
When I am not busy being a lawyer, I live in Marietta, Georgia with my husband Anthony, 2 dogs and cat. I enjoy reading too many books at one time, singing and dancing when no one is looking, conquering mountains, staying afloat in a kayak, attempting rock-climbing and believing that I can run half-marathons (I just finished my 2nd in Virginia Beach during Labor Day weekend 2008).
